Johnson O'Malley Program (JOM)
The JOM board is in the process of planning the school supply distribution for the upcoming 2020/2021 school year. We realize it is getting to be that time of the year and we are working as best we can to put in place, plan, and distribute safely, school supplies to our community. With the concerns of the Covid19 pandemic, which has delayed many school decisions that we rely on to distribute school supplies, we are now on a time sensitive course. It has also been difficult finding all the school supplies that are listed for example, Clorox wipes, so these may not be included this year but we are working diligently to try and have them for every student. The Iowa Tribe is also donating five masks to each student for the upcoming school year.
We would like to let you know that we do intend to distribute school supplies this year and are now taking applications please have them in by 8/6/20. Please find the application on the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska website. Please include all necessary copies of identification, children’s’ tribal enrollment, and two forms of address. We serve all schools in Brown and Doniphan counties in Kansas, Richardson County in Nebraska, Holt county in Missouri. Drop off applications at the Iowa Tribal office drop box, at United Tribe Food distribution drop box and preferably email the JOM email which is firstname.lastname@example.org.
